KKR runs a structured campus analyst programme with on-cycle recruiting. The process includes application screening, phone/video interviews, and a superday that typically includes a case study or modelling exercise.

Study KKR's portfolio companies and recent flagship deals. Interviewers frequently ask about investments you find interesting and what attracted KKR to specific sectors or geographies.

LBO mechanics must be second-nature: entry valuation, leverage sizing, EBITDA growth assumptions, exit multiples, and IRR/MoIC — including mental maths approximations without a calculator in some settings.

KKR values operators who understand the full business, not just financial engineering. Be ready to discuss operational value creation levers: pricing power, procurement savings, talent retention, and bolt-on acquisitions.
